More Mary

Today is Mary's six-week birthday! This morning I weighed her; she is up to 11 pounds, 4 ounces, and she's grown almost an inch already! This first picture of her isn't the best, but it is the first smile I've caught on film. She still sleeps most of the time, but is getting more interactive when she is wakeful. The second picture of her is pretty good, I think, but still doesn't do her justice. She's such a sweet baby!

Some Pictures

All my creative energy is going into the production of Mama's Milk right now... ah, the joys of the six-week growth spurt! (Yes, our little darling is almost six weeks old already!) So, in place of my usual witty and insightful writing, I'll just give you some pictures of the princess.

God bless!

Birthday Boy and Baby Girl

Here's Daniel; he's eight years old!

And our Mary Mae is three weeks old!

Here's more pictures from our Sunday at the playground.
I'm not sure how Robert managed to avoid the camera! *grin*

Oh, my!

When I logged on to update, I found two half-completed posts- one from about a week after Mary was born, and one from a few days ago. I'm sorry! It would be silly to go back and post them now, so I'll just update as best I can.

First off, I want to wish Daniel a very happy 8th birthday! Daniel was blessed to be born on the memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary. We celebrated with a trip to the park in Ontonagon in the afternoon (the rain held off just long enough). For birthday dinner he requested meatloaf, and his dessert (we don't do just cakes) was a pumpkin pie. Happy birthday, Daniel!!

I can't believe Mary is almost three weeks old already. She is settling down into a comfortable routine of sleep, potty, eat, potty, fuss, eat, and sleep again. She's been such a sweet baby, and I am so grateful to God for the joy she has already brought into our family. Thomas kisses her a hundred times a day, and the older children all insist on getting their fair turn at holding her. They even help change diapers! We've begun doing EC and that is so much fun and amazing to see how well it works.

I guess that's about all the news on us. There are some pictures on my digital camera, but it is now a little after 9 pm and the children are ready for night prayers. I'll do my best to post the pictures tomorrow.

God bless!
