The brooder is in the mudroom since it stays pretty warm in there during the night. Unfortunately, the door got left open long enough for one of the cats to get in there. So, we lost one of the chicks to the cat. :-(
That's horrible!! I'll never forget when we finally were able to put ours outside, only to have some big birds or something butcher most of them during the night. "sigh"
I am a 36-year-old wife, mother, and runner. My husband and I met in high school; married July 15, 1995 (17 years and counting!). We have been blessed with seven children, two angels in heaven, and a baby due June 2013. I started running in March of 2011, when my seventh child was 8 months old.
